Our Review
The Orbit folding lightweight wheelchair is an excellent wheelchair with an attractive price. The Orbit is a transit wheelchair which means that the user cannot push themselves using the wheels and will need someone to push them.
The footplates are swingaway and removable to allow the user to enter and exit the chair easily. As the footplates can be removed, the chair can easily be transported, especially with it being so lightweight at just 13kg. The armresets are also removable to allow for easy transfer to a bed or other chair.
There are both manual brakes on the wheels and locking brakes on the handlebars to allow the attendant as well as the user to apply the brake.
The padded upholstery on this chair can be easily removed for washing if required. Underneath the upholstery is a very well made from which from our tests will support users upto 18st.
We rate this wheelchair very highly. One thing we especially liked was how easily maneuverable the chair was in tight spaces meaning it will be great for both indoor and outdoor use.
